The 24-Hour Screenwriting Project *Virtual Fundraiser*
This year, the perennial favorite 24-Hour Playwriting Project may have taken a twist for safety, but all the hilarity remains! It's the same premise as before, in which four writers have less about 12 hours to create a script for a short film. But they don't get their theme, props, costumes, effects, lines, or any other information until 8 pm. And they have no idea who their director, cinematographer, or actors might be. Then these scripts are handed off to the director/cinematographers who will meet their actors and have a few hours to work with their actors and to film.
The result is absolute hilarity. Normally, this event sells out quickly but this year it's virtual, so you can watch the zany antics from the comfort and safety of your own home and vote for your favorite!
This event is also a fundraiser to support the theater - the short film that generates the most money in donations wins the coveted bragging rights for an entire year.
This event was produced following the theater's strict pandemic protocol. Further details are available on our website.
Thank you for your support of our award-winning theater!
